I hooked up and took pictures of the a monitor attached to the MPC3000. I have never seen any pictures on the 'net of these, so others like me have probably wondered what it was like. It is of course, the same as what is on the LCD. This would also double as nice LCD saver, since you could shut off the LCD (internally, or adjust the contrast) and probably prolong the life if the LCD. The video board is kind of picky about what monitors can be used since it is basically a monochrome output. Most of the newer monitors are not backward compatible with this, so you usually have to find an old monitor. There are pics of an old IBM 13" VGA monitor:
